Clockify alternative
A Clockify alternative that tells you whether tomorrow fits
Clockify is one of the cheapest ways to track time and bill it: a free plan, billable rates from $3.99 and invoicing from $5.49 per user a month, as of October 2026. It tells you where your time went. TaskBerry starts a step earlier. It sizes every task and turns the board red before you overcommit, then keeps the hours you log per client in the same app.
Honest fit
Who each one is really for
Clockify fits anyone who tracks time and sends invoices
If you mainly need to record hours, put rates on them and send an invoice, Clockify does that for very little, and its free plan is a real one. It is priced per user and has resource planning for scheduling a team. We are not going to beat it on price, so we will not pretend to.
TaskBerry fits one freelancer deciding what fits today
If you work alone for 2 to 5 clients, the expensive mistake happens before the timer starts: saying yes to a day that was already full. TaskBerry adds up the day in hours while you plan it, warns you when it runs over, and then tracks the time per task and per client.
Same full day
A timesheet afterwards, or a warning before
The same overbooked day, seen from both ends. One tool records it, the other one warns you about it.
9 hours of work planned into a 6 hour day.
TaskBerry
The board adds up the day before it starts
Every task gets a time size. The bar fills as you plan and turns red when the day runs past the hours you have, so you move something before you commit, not at 5pm.
3h over before you start
Clockify
Entries that add up after the fact
Clockify records the time you spend, and on paid plans puts rates and invoices on it. Its resource planning schedules a team. It is not a board for your own day.
Each entry is logged as you work. Nothing says this morning that the day will not fit.

Price, honestly
Clockify is cheaper. This is what TaskBerry adds.
Clockify has a free plan, and its paid plans start at $3.99 per user a month billed yearly, as of October 2026. TaskBerry has a free plan too, and TaskBerry Pro is €9.95 a month or €99 a year, VAT included. If you only need to track hours and send invoices, Clockify is the better-value pick and we will say so. TaskBerry costs more because it plans the day before you work it and keeps the client report in the same app.

You can keep Clockify while you try this
Start on the free plan in a couple of minutes and plan one real day on it. Nothing in TaskBerry depends on Clockify, so you can keep invoicing where you invoice now. If seeing the day before you commit turns out to be what you were missing, you can move your tracking over too. If not, you have lost nothing. Pro comes with a 14-day trial, no card needed.

Straight answers
Questions worth asking first
- Is TaskBerry a full Clockify replacement?
- No. TaskBerry makes the hours report, not the invoice itself, and has nothing for planning a team. It replaces Clockify only if what you really need is one person's day planned in hours first, with the time tracking and a client report in the same place.
- What does Clockify do better?
- Price and billing. Clockify's free plan tracks time, billable rates start on its cheapest paid plan and invoicing on the next one, and it has resource planning for a whole team. For pure tracking and invoicing, it is the better deal.
- Can I plan in TaskBerry and keep invoicing in Clockify?
- Yes, nothing stops you. The catch is that you would be logging time in two places, so if you plan in TaskBerry, tracking there too and sending the client report from Pro with your invoice saves you the double entry.
